The Downtown Market opens mid May. George Washington Creek Park provides a great venue for this community-centered activity, and the market will be held weekly, on Saturdays, until mid-September. They have a wide range of vendors offering produce, baked goods, prepared foods, arts & crafts, and more. Please visit their web page at https://www.manteonc.gov/DowntownMarket for updates, vendor applications, and contact information. Don’t forget your mask as it will be required to enter the market area, and social distancing will be observed. The Downtown Market is more than the wonderful fresh produce, yummy baked goods, local arts and crafts and other goodies. A big thanks to the market vendors for the valuable service they provide in the form of their goods and also in the sense of community they foster each and every year. More info here…
