Calling all adventurers! If you’re looking for a new, exciting way to have fun in the sun, head down to the Outer Banks this June for the popular Storm the Beach oceanfront obstacle course race.

On Sunday, June 17, 2018, Storm the Beach will begin at 7:30 a.m. at Jennette’s Pier, located at 7223 S. Virginia Dare Trail.

Storm the Beach is nothing like your typical race, in which you run to the finish line and grab a medal. Instead, athletes of all ages and abilities will climb, crawl and conquer obstacles like the Sandfiddler Crawl and Swamp Scum. It will be challenging, fun and sandy!

All registered attendees will receive an event shirt and other swag, along with the opportunity to win beach-themed medals. You can register as an individual or as a team, and remember, costumes are welcome and encouraged! After the race, the 21-and-up crowd can enjoy a post-race party with sun, fun and beer.

Storm the Beach is a day of fun for a good cause. A full 100% of net proceeds benefit the Outer Banks Relief Foundation and the Dare Foundation.

After your grand adventure at Storm the Beach, you can relax at the Surf Side Hotel with an oceanside glass of wine or a soak in our indoor or outdoor pool. The obstacle race is a 15-minute stroll or a mere two-minute drive from our property, and we would love to be your home base during your stay. Make your reservation online today for an unforgettable getaway!
