Why You Should Attend Easter Eggstravaganza in the OBX

Easter Events in Outer Banks

Easter is a great time to visit the Outer Banks. The weather is warming up, and it’s a fantastic time for outdoor activities. Instead of staying home for the holiday, why not celebrate Easter beach-side with the family with two fun events?

Families with children of all ages will enjoy the Outer Banks Easter Eggstravagaza, held on Saturday, March 31st, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event will take place at Elizabethan Gardens, a beautiful oasis of shaded paths, statues, flowers and fountains just minutes from Nags Head Beach. Regular admission prices apply: $9 for adults, $6 for children ages 6 to 17 and $2 for little ones under 6.

The Elizabeth Gardens Eggstravaganza is the largest Easter egg hunt on the beach, and features activities the whole family will enjoy, like egg spoon races, bonnet decorating contests and musical chairs. You and the kids will also enjoy a variety of music and dance performances, as well as the chance to win prizes like gift certificates and stuffed animals. Remember to bring your own basket!

Nearby Jockey’s Ridge Crossing is hosting their own Eggstravaganza, with egg hunts and photos with the Easter Bunny on March 30th and 31st.

If you’re planning to attend one of these Easter Eggstravaganzas, why not stay at the Surf Side Hotel? Make your reservation online today for a relaxing Outer Banks Easter vacation!
