Dinosaurs are returning to the Outer Banks for the summer! Take a short trip from Surf Side Hotel to the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island to experience the Tyrannosaurus Trek firsthand.
This exciting exhibit is located on the aquarium’s nature trail and involves animated, life size dinosaurs like the t-rex, triceratops and stegosaurus. Learn all about these fascinating creatures, while experiencing the sights and sounds you would have millions of years ago!
The North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island also offers exciting daily programs, including games, animal feedings and talks. Check out a couple of our favorites below:
Animal feedings take place at the museum at 3 p.m. daily. Depending on the day of your visit, different creatures will be fed! Throw some grub to the alligators on Mondays and Thursdays; share a snack with a stingray on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, or feed the fish on Saturdays and Sundays.
This underwater experience takes place daily at both 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Divers will swim about the “Graveyard of the Atlantic” exhibit while you get a chance to ask them questions about aquarium animals and swimming with sharks!
