Enjoy a February Vacation in OBX

off-season beach vacationWhether you are planning a Valentine’s Day getaway or just looking to escape the cold weather this February, the Outer Banks is the place to go. Rest and relax along the coast, taking in all the sights and sounds that make Nags Head and the beautiful Atlantic Coast so welcoming.

There are plenty of unique places – like Jockey’s Ridge State Park, Wright Brothers National Memorial and North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island – that you can explore this season, as well as a few special events you can participate in.

Outer Banks Polar Plunge for Cystic Fibrosis

If you’re looking for a thrill during your OBX vacation (and don’t mind getting a little chilly) then we recommend heading to Jennette’s Pier on Saturday, February 18. Get your whole group together ahead of time and do some fundraising for this great cause before plunging into the Atlantic.

Registration is just $50 per person, and the fun doesn’t stop after you plunge into the water. There will be plenty of celebrating, including food and drinks, all throughout the afternoon.

Four Handed Piano Recital

A musical event that guests of all ages can appreciate, the Four Handed Piano Recital is local act performed by Barry Ambrose and Rachel Bragson. Enjoy the incredible music created when this duo gets behind the keyboard of the piano from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, February 26.

The show takes place at All Saints Episcopal Church in nearby Southern Shores, North Carolina. Tickets can be purchased for $15 each right in Nags Head at Sea Green Gallery or online here.
