Experience Spooktacular Thrills on Roanoke Island This October

haunted Halloween

haunted HalloweenThe fall season is just around the corner, and with its arrival comes the start of all the Halloween-themed fun that we all love so much. October is a wonderful time to visit the Outer Banks, not only to get some relaxation in before the busy holiday season, but also to experience some awesome area events!

For adults and families with teens looking to have some spooky fun during your October vacation at Surf Side Hotel, we recommend heading to nearby Roanoke Island to experience PsychoPath. One of the state’s top haunted attractions, this event is the perfect opportunity to get into the Halloween spirit. The terrifying excitement sprawls throughout Fort Raleigh National Park, where ghosts and ghouls are waiting for you every Friday and Saturday night from October 7 to October 29.

Even if you have walked – or run – down the island’s haunted trails before, there are plenty of new terrors to experience in the 2016 season. This year’s theme is ‘Carnevil’ and the frights are sure to be otherworldly.

Tickets can be purchased online or on-site for $13 each. The spooktacular fun begins around 7:45 p.m. each evening and the last tickets will be sold at 11 p.m. Please remember that there will be strobe lights and fog machines in use and that no photos or videos are permitted.

If you dare to face your fears, purchase your tickets for PsychoPath here, and then visit our website to book your Surf Side stay. We can’t wait to hear all about the thrills you experience in the haunted Roanoke Island forest!
