Sure, it may not be summer anymore but that’s okay! If you ask most folks, they’ll tell you that this is the best time of the year to visit the Outer Banks because the weather is still warm, the fishing season is in full swing and the crowds have calmed down considerably. Need more of an incentive to get down here this month? Well if you’re a fan of great bluegrass, Irish, Old Time and American Roots music, then we’ve got just the ticket for you. The Hatterasity Bluegrass Block Party is just around the corner!
This four-day event will take place from Thursday, October 9th until Sunday October 12, 2014 and trust us when we say that it’s one that you won’t want to miss. Not only will you be treated to some of the best seafood and BBQ around, but there will be plenty of incredible bands taking the main stage to have you up on your feet and moving.
Among some of this year’s entertainment are The Crop Circle Agents, Mama Corn, Molasses Creek, Lorraine Jordan & Carolina Road, Grammy Award Nominee, James King, and many more! The event will help to benefit the Cape Hatteras Methodist Men’s relief Fund and while same-day tickets are priced at $20 each, weekend passes are set at $50. Additionally, children under the age of 12 will receive free entry.
