Oyster lovers, rejoice! It’s that time of year again when the annual returns and seafood enthusiasts from all overmake their way to the Outer Banks.2015 marks the 30th consecutive year for the event and it doesn’t seem as though the excitement is going to die down any time soon. With proceeds going to benefit families in need in the Stumpy Point Community, how could you possibly refuse?
Plan to be in the area, but don’t have any plans for the most romantic day of the year? Make your way to the Stumpy Point Community Center and enjoy a few local delicacies with some like-minded folks! However, if you do have a special someone to spend the day with, why not stop out anyways? After all, nothing says love like an all-you-can-eat spread of oysters!
Enjoy your fair share whichever way you like, whether that be steamed or fried. Just don’t forget to save plenty of room for a bit of fried fish and all of the proper trimmings. Right when you think that you can’t possibly eat anymore, think again because you definitely don’t want to miss out on the bake sale. We don’t want to give too much away here, but we’ve heard the words “best homemade desserts in the world” thrown out there once or twice.
The feast takes place on Valentine’s Day from noon until 5pm and tickets are priced at $25 for adults and just $10 for kids ten years old and under. It’s a can’t-miss event, making this the perfect time to plan a trip out to the Outer Banks! We hope to see you soon!
