Going to be in the Outer Banks for the upcoming Easter holiday? We’ve got the perfect event to help you and your family celebrate. Not only will you get the traditional Easter fun that involves the Easter Bunny and baskets full of goodies, but you’ll also get a little bit of extra excitement that you just can’t get anywhere else but here!
With the spring season officially here and Easter Sunday falling on April 16th this year, the big annual event will be taking place from Friday April 14 to Saturday, April 15, 2017.
Now, if this is your first time visiting the area during this particular time of year, let us be the first to tell you that you and your children are in for a real treat. Taking place at Jockey’s Ridge Crossing, one of the aspects that makes this event unique from any other Easter event you have ever attended is the Kite Festival that will be taking place on both Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm.
Then, just across the street from the Kite Festival at Jockey’s Ridge Crossing Shopping Center, the Easter Eggstravaganza egg hunt will also be taking place from 11 am to 12 pm. To make things fair for all children, each hunt will be separated by age groups: ages 3 & under, 4-6, and 7-12. But every child should keep an eye out for the special Golden Egg, regardless of which age group they’re in!
This special guest will be available for photos until 1 pm, so don’t forget that camera!
Both events are free to the public, so the only thing you’ll have to worry about is making sure that you’ve booked your reservation at Surf Side Hotel for the weekend.
